We talk first
Ten minutes on what you want to change, what your body has been through, and anything that hurts. Then a 3D body scan so we have a starting point.
Upminster · 127 Corbets Tey Road
EMS personal training in Upminster. A coach beside you every minute, no impact on your knees or back — and a 3D body scan so you can see exactly what changed.
Takes about 30 seconds. You pay when you book, and it's free to reschedule. Prefer one-to-one? Choose the £19.99 1-to-1 trial in the calendar.
Who trains here
You've done gym memberships. The training wasn't the problem — finding four hours a week was. One 30-minute session fits in a lunch break.
EMS contracts the muscle directly, so you build strength without loading the joint. It's why we train people in their sixties and people coming back from injury.
A 3D body scan at the start and every few weeks after. Body fat, lean muscle, waist measurement — numbers, not guesswork on a bathroom scale.
What actually happens
No queueing for equipment, no guessing what to do. On the £9.99 trial you train in a small group of up to 3, each on your own settings — or choose the £19.99 1-to-1 trial and have your coach to yourself.
Ten minutes on what you want to change, what your body has been through, and anything that hurts. Then a 3D body scan so we have a starting point.
A wireless EMS suit — it feels much like a wetsuit and is fitted to your body so the impulses reach the right muscles. Your trainer sets the intensity with you and turns it up only as far as you're comfortable.
Simple, low-load movements while the impulses do the work. It finishes with a massage and lymphatic drainage programme, and you walk out feeling it — in a good way.
Why EMS
30 minutes, once a week. Because EMS activates up to 90% of your muscle fibres at once, you don't need the other four sessions.
No heavy weights and no impact. The stimulation reaches deep muscle your knees and back would normally have to carry weight to reach.
Clients typically report firmer skin and better tone alongside the strength gains, particularly across the core, glutes and arms.
A Styku 3D scan tracks body fat, lean muscle and circumference over time. You see the change even in the weeks the scales don't move.

“I started going to E Pulse Studio Upminster after a few years of various injuries had really affected my fitness. Even though I’d had personal training for many years before, I felt like my strength and confidence had deteriorated.
I originally decided to try E Pulse to support my recovery, particularly because I have ongoing back issues, and I’ve been genuinely amazed at how good I feel after the sessions. The sensation on my back feels a bit like a TENS machine, and I’ve found it really supportive.
I can honestly feel my strength coming back, and I’m so pleased I gave it a try. A really positive experience.”
"I've lost over a stone and dropped a dress size. The 3D body scans keep me motivated because I can see the changes in muscle and fat, not just the number on the scale. It's a game-changer!"
"Training for my wedding was so easy with E-Pulse. I wanted to tone my arms and back and the results were amazing. I felt so confident on my big day. Thank you to the whole team!"

Results
Every before-and-after below is a client of this studio. We've put the number of sessions next to each one, because "results" without a timeframe doesn't tell you anything useful. Both of these clients ended up training more often than the once-a-week starting point — that's something you decide with your trainer once you're established, not something we ask for up front.
Pricing
No one likes finding out the real price in the room. So here it is: a single one-to-one session is £78, and every plan brings that down. Your first one is £9.99.
Paid securely when you book. Free to reschedule.
Prefer one-to-one? Our £19.99 1-to-1 trial includes a 30-minute EMS session, a 3D body scan, posture assessment and visceral fat check, plus a consultation with our health coach about your results, nutrition and any midlife questions, including menopause.
Plans are paid up front. Sessions don't expire while you're training.
Bring your own group, or ask us to place you in one.
At the end of your session we'll show you your scan and talk through what a plan would look like for what you want to change. There's no contract, no direct debit, and no obligation to book anything. Plenty of people take the trial, think about it, and come back weeks later — that's completely fine.

Before you book
One-to-one training is £78 for a single session, and comes down to £69, £64 or £59 a session depending on the size of the plan you take. Training in a small group of 2–3 is £35 to £45 per person per session. All of it is on this page, above.
There's no joining fee, no monthly membership and no direct debit. You buy sessions, you use sessions.
No — and this is the single most common thing people say when they walk in. EMS is genuinely a good place to start from nothing, because your trainer controls the intensity and you're not lifting heavy loads or trying to keep up with a class.
A decent share of our clients hadn't trained in years when they started.
Yes, and it's one of the reasons people in their 50s, 60s and 70s choose EMS over a gym — you build strength without loading the joints. Our trainers are certified in EMS specifically and the equipment is CE-marked.
There are a few conditions where EMS isn't suitable, including a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, pregnancy, and some heart and neurological conditions. We'll go through a health questionnaire with you before your first session, and if anything on it needs a word with your GP first, we'll tell you.
Usually yes, and it's often exactly why people come. Because there's no impact and no heavy load, we can build the deep muscle supporting your back without putting the joint under strain. Tell your trainer what hurts and they'll build the session around it.
If you're mid-injury or post-surgery, bring us any advice you've had from a physio or consultant and we'll work with it.
It doesn't hurt, but it is a strange sensation the first time — a tingling that builds into a deep, steady muscle contraction. Most people find it takes about five minutes to get used to and then it just feels like hard work.
Your trainer starts low and only turns it up as far as you say is comfortable. You're in charge of that dial, not us.
Just come in normal training clothes. We provide the base layer worn under the EMS suit, and there's a shower and towels if you want them. Bring water, or use ours.
No. We'll show you your 3D scan and tell you what we'd recommend, because that's the useful part of the session — but you're welcome to say "let me think about it" and leave. Nobody will chase you.
Most people notice they feel stronger and sleep better within two or three weeks. Visible change on a 3D scan usually starts showing between weeks four and six, training once a week. Bodies differ, which is exactly why we scan rather than promise.
For most people, yes. An EMS session recruits far more muscle at once than a conventional workout, so it needs more recovery time — training more often isn't better. Some clients move to twice a week once they're established; your trainer will tell you if that's worth it for you.
Styku 3D scanning
A contactless 3D scan takes about 40 seconds and measures body-fat percentage, lean muscle mass and circumference at every point on your body. We scan you on day one and every few weeks after, so progress stops being a guess. The full report lands in your inbox.
